After a chapter on supply chain issues, the authors then go on to cover the scenario of service life extension, from design and inspection to certification. This is followed by a chapter on decommissioning, once again from design of the process to recycling. The requirements of certifying authorities and insurers are then discussed, leading to a chapter on environmental impact assessment, which considers pre and post mortem inspection and environmental life cycle assessment.
